The Summit: Faith Beyond Everest’s Death Zone is Eric Alexander’s story of leading the first blind climber, Erik Weihenmayer, to the top of Everest. The book is at times riveting and at times hilarious. The book includes other mountain adventures, including the highest peaks on every continent except Antarctica. Each of those included helping a disabled person to the summit.
This well-written account gives the reader a behind-the-scenes feel for climbing a major peak. Filled with humility and faith in Christ, Alexander’s book is superb.
